The Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian football federations in cooperation with "Konami" will organize the first Baltic e-football cup in history on June 5, finding out the strongest Baltic e-football team in the "Pro Evolution Soccer 2020" version, reports LFF.
The tournament will take place at a time when the Baltic Cup in classic football was planned in all three Baltic countries. Due to the situation created by "Covid-19", the competition has been postponed and is planned for 2021. Traditionally, the Baltic Cup takes place every two years, with matches taking place in all three countries in both national and U-21 national competitions.
Earlier this year, for the first time in history, the e-Euro 2020 tournament took place, with teams from all three Baltic countries debuting in qualifying competitions. The best performers were Lithuanian e-footballers, who stayed one step away from participating in the final tournament, while the Latvian national team ranked fifth in their subgroup after Serbia, Spain, Albania and England.
