In hockey, in general, there is even less money, for example, the hockey club "Zemgale" in 2022 spent 412 thousand euros, not to mention other teams, but in this sport there was a wealthy (and so far richest) team of Latvian scale, which did not participate in the Latvian championship (the expenses of this team in several years amounted to more than 10 million euros).

The Latvian Football Federation (LFF) has no information about the football club blamed for the tax evasion and its official who has been charged, LFF president Vadim Lyashenko told the Delfi portal.

In recent days, Latvian football has again intervened in a number of unpleasant cases. On Saturday, in one of the games of the Latvian First League, there were suspicions of unfair play of "Dinamo Riga" and influence on the result of the match, while in the second league in one of the matches in the stands of Salaspils stadium, the fan sang the anthem of the aggressor country Russia. Meanwhile, on Monday, the State Revenue Service (SRS) announced that an official of a Latvian football club had been charged with tax evasion.

After the suspicious game of Dinamo Riga and the incident in Salaspils, the LFF stated in a statement that there is "zero tolerance for any kind of integrity violations, so any violations found will be assessed with the strictest severity in order to protect football from persons who undermine the principles of the football game".

On October 9, the management of Dinamo Riga football club informed the Latvian Football Federation (LFF) about the withdrawal from further participation in this season's "Optibet" Future League championship.

In its submission, the club bases its decision on suspicions of manipulation of the results of games with the involvement of "Dinamo Riga" players. The club says it will do everything in its power to help LFF with its investigation.

According to the rules of the championship, the team is credited with losses in the remaining games with a score of 0:3.

As reported, LFF with partners and responsible institutions has launched an internal investigation in connection with the Future League game between FK "Dinamo Rīga" and FK "Tukums 2000-2"/TSS. "Dynamo" after the first half was in the lead with 3:0, but in the continuation of the game did not make a single shot and lost with 3:4.

Latvijas Futbola federācijas (LFF) Klubu licencēšanas pirmās instances padome trešdien veica izvērtēšanu "Optibet" Virslīgas 2024. gada sezonas dalībnieku atbilstībai prasībām. Licence dalībai sacensībās piešķirta deviņiem klubiem, sešiem no kuriem ir dots termiņš atsevišķu kritēriju pilnīgai izpildei, bet par licences piešķiršanu Grobiņas SC klubam lēmuma pieņemšana atlikta, dodot laiku neatbilstību novēršanai.

Papildus desmit klubiem, kuri iesniedza klubu licencēšanas dokumentus, pamatojoties uz to sportiskajiem rezultātiem 2023. gada sezonā, licences pretendenta statuss tika piešķirts arī SK "Super Nova" klubam, kas pērn zaudēja vietu virslīgā.

Lēmumi pieņemti pēc visu klubu licencēšanas procesā atrunāto kritēriju atbilstības pārbaudes juridiskajos, sporta, personāla un administratīvajos, sociālās atbildības, infrastruktūras un finanšu jautājumos.

LFF A licence pēc visu noteikumos paredzēto kritēriju izpildes piešķirta "Riga FC", FK "Tukums 2000" un FS "Jelgava".

Sešiem klubiem noteiktās kritēriju kategorijās konstatētas nepilnības, tāpēc licence piešķirta, nosakot papildus termiņu - š.g. 1. marts - to pilnīgai izpildīšanai:

FK "Metta" - papildina dokumentus infrastruktūras kritēriju izpildei attiecībā uz noteikumu 27. paragrāfu (līgums ar galveno stadionu);
FK "Liepāja" - papildina dokumentus personāla un administratīvo kritēriju izpildei attiecībā uz noteikumu 34. (fizioterapeits ar atbilstošu kvalifikāciju) un 43. paragrāfu (vārtsargu treneris ar atbilstošu kvalifikāciju);
BFC "Daugavpils" - papildina dokumentus personāla un administratīvo kritēriju izpildei attiecībā uz noteikumu 43. paragrāfu (vārtsargu treneris ar atbilstošu kvalifikāciju);
FK "Auda" - papildina dokumentus personāla un administratīvo kritēriju izpildei attiecībā uz noteikumu 43. paragrāfu (vārtsargu treneris ar atbilstošu kvalifikāciju);
"Valmiera FC" - papildina dokumentus infrastruktūras kritēriju izpildei attiecībā uz noteikumu 27. paragrāfu (līgums ar galveno un rezerves stadionu);
FC RFS - papildina dokumentus personāla un administratīvo kritēriju izpildei attiecībā uz noteikumu 43. paragrāfu (vārtsargu treneris ar atbilstošu kvalifikāciju). Papildus tam finanšu kritēriju ekspertam nepieciešams iesniegt informāciju attiecībā uz noteikumu 62. paragrāfa izpildi (pašu kapitāla noteikums).
Attiecībā uz Grobiņas SC iesniegtajiem klubu licencēšanas dokumentiem konstatēts, ka infrastruktūras kritēriji ir izpildīti daļēji, jo kā galvenais stadions ir norādīts stadions, kuram šobrīd nav virslīgas kategorijas. Tajā pašā laikā padome ņēmusi vērā to, ka pieteiktajos stadionos ir norādīts arī stadions "Daugava" Liepājā, kuram ir virslīgas kategorija.

Šobrīd klubs nav izpildījis licencēšanas noteikumu 67. paragrāfa 5.p. b) noteiktās prasības attiecībā uz licences pretendenta ieņēmumiem kalendārā gada laikā vismaz 150 000 EUR apmērā. Papildus tam padome vērš kluba uzmanību uz to, ka gadījumā, ja finansējums tiek apkopots, piemēram, infrastruktūras nodrošināšanas veidā no trešajām pusēm, ir jāiesniedz detalizēts izklāsts par norādītās finansējuma summas atšifrējumu.

Izrietoši padome lēmusi atlikt lēmuma pieņemšanu par licences piešķiršanu Grobiņas SC klubam līdz š.g. 29. janvārim (ieskaitot), līdz kam tiek gaidīti dokumenti, kas apliecina licencēšanas noteikumu 67. paragrāfa pilnīgu izpildi. Sekojoši atlikta arī lēmuma pieņemšana par SK "Super Nova" kā licences pretendentu līdz gala lēmuma pieņemšanai par licences piešķiršanu Grobiņas SC.

Kā ziņots, pagājušajā nedēļā licence dalībai sacensībās tika piešķirta deviņiem klubiem, sešiem no kuriem dots termiņš atsevišķu kritēriju pilnīgai izpildei, bet par licences piešķiršanu Grobiņas SC klubam lēmuma pieņemšana tika atlikta, dodot laiku neatbilstību novēršanai. Licences pretendents nebija izpildījis licencēšanas noteikumu 67. paragrāfa 5.p. b) noteiktās prasības attiecībā uz ieņēmumiem kalendārā gada laikā.

Pēc kluba jauniesniegtajiem dokumentiem un saskaņā ar klubu licencēšanas finanšu kritēriju eksperta atzinumu Grobiņas SC ir izpildījis attiecīgos noteikumu punktus, kā rezultātā padome otrdien lēma par licences piešķiršanu Gobiņas SC.

Līdz ar to licences dalībai sacensībās saņēmuši visi desmit klubi, kuri pie vietas sacensībās iepriekš bija tikuši, pamatojoties uz sportiskajiem rezultātiem 2023. gada sezonā. Sekojoši licence netiek piešķirta SK "Super Nova" klubam, kam iepriekš tika piemērots licences pretendenta statuss.
