Rimini FC announces that Linas Mėgelaitis is a new red and white player. Born in Siluté, Lithuania, on 9 September 1998, he is a 178 cm central midfielder who boasts a presence in Serie B with Latina in 2016-2017 and who in Serie C boasts 133 appearances and two goals in the league and eleven with a goal in the Italian Cup with the shirts of Lecce (with which he was promoted), Sicula Leonzio, Gubbio and Viterbese. In the last three championships he has put together 28 appearances for Gubbio and 30 and 32 for Lazio.
With the national team of his country, however, he made his debut on 11 November 2020 against the Faroe Islands in a friendly and since then he has set foot on the field 16 times, also scoring on 25 March 2022 in the friendly match won 2-1 at San Marino . 16 games and a goal also with the under 21 shirt and another 32 with a goal between Lithuania's Under 17, Under 18 and Under 19.
The 24-year-old has signed a two-year contract with Rimini expiring in June 2025.
