The DNCG determined in July 2024 that Bordeaux be relegated two divisions to the fourth tier, losing their professional status, due to their financial situation. The previous year, Sochaux were administratively relegated to the third tier. Nancy successfully appealed against the DNCG’s decision to relegate the club two divisions to the fifth tier in 2023.

UEFA has announced that it has postponed its assessment of the case involving Crystal Palace and Lyon, while confirming that another club has been excluded from European competitions for breaching rules on multiple club ownership.
