Be to, nuo š. m. sausio 1 d.

Montenegrin soccer club banned by UEFA for 10 years for match-fixing; player, official banned for life

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/arti ... 9kl400l09o

UEFA’s disciplinary body has issued a ten-year suspension from its club competitions for Montenegrin club FK Arsenal Tivat with lifetime bans to one of its players and the sporting director after match-fixing rule violations.

The decision concluded that the eight players and officials involved broke Article 11 (general principles of conduct) and Article 12 (integrity of matches and competitions and match-fixing) during the 2023-24 Conference League two-legged qualifying tie between Arsenal Tivat and Armenian side Alashkert FC in July 2023.

Arsenal Tivat player Nikola Celebic, 36, and sporting director Ranko Krgovic have received lifetime bans “from exercising any football-related activity”, while Cetko Manojlovic, Radule Zivkovic and Dusan Puletic have received ten-year bans. Only Manojlovic still plays for the Montenegrin side.

UEFA has also given bans to two officials from Serbian side FK Radnicki Obrenovac, Milan Vignjevic (ten years) and Goran Janjusevic (six years). Another person involved, Christos Psomiadis, received an eight-year ban.

Klubui 110 metų. Sveikata dar nebuvo įkurta tuo metu.

Dar kartą, dabar jau FIFA rodo LFF'ui kaip turėtų būti pateikinėjama informacija tokiais atvejais.

‘The world betting game’: is football more susceptible to match-fixing in Australia?
https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... -australia
Former Western United player Riku Danzaki and his friend Yuta Hirayama pleaded guilty last week to charges related to a scheme in which the pair bet on Danzaki receiving yellow cards in the A-League Men competition. They will be sentenced this week and face hefty fines. According to court proceedings, Danzaki and Hirayama used Australian-licensed bookmakers <> and won more than $20,000 in the scheme, but were undone when <> rejected their final bet and reported them to police.

The case appears to be an endorsement for the cooperation between bookmakers, sporting codes and police that underpins gambling licence-fee agreements in Australia. In this instance, <> trading staff detected the suspicious behaviour and notified its investigation team, which referred it to the sporting integrity intelligence unit of Victoria police.

<>She highlighted where athletes are underpaid, or have not received integrity education, or are exposed to traditional corruption risks such as around drugs or sex work, the vulnerability grows. “Once you get down below that first league, then that’s where the risks present,” she says. <“>technology is changing to using cryptocurrencies and so on to make it very difficult to use the traditional forms of traceability and accountability that crime-fighters have been using over decades,” Ordway says.

Iškarpos; aukšto lygmens, geras straipsnis.

The real takeaway from the NBA betting scandal? The complicity of all of sports
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/674448 ... takeaways/
Eighteen years later, that thought feels no less absurd than the notion that the arrests of Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups, Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and former NBA player and assistant Damon Jones will have a lasting impact on illegal betting.

Of course, Billups, Rozier and Jones are presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Maybe the feds will fail to make their case. Maybe all three men will someday walk out of a courtroom vindicated of the charges made against them. But in the wake of Jontay Porter’s lifetime ban from the league for manipulating his performance for prop-bet payoffs, these charges are about as ugly as ugly gets.

A head coach involved in poker games rigged by mobsters? A 10-year NBA veteran benching himself for the sake of lucrative prop bets? An 11-year NBA veteran <...>selling inside information to professional gamblers?

“The fraud is mind-boggling,” Patel said. <...>Technology is the needle that instantly injects it into the vein.

Lyon involved in new financial scandal with Botafogo
https://indeksonline.net/en/Lyon-is-inv ... -Botafogo/ | https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article ... go/1614070

Olympique Lyonnais is facing a new financial crisis, following the revelation of a series of "ghost transfers" made between the French club and Brazilian side Botafogo during John Textor's tenure. According to published data, Lyon had obtained liquidity through the "affacturage" scheme, where the club was advanced money in exchange for future income on transfers. The total amount the club received amounts to around 100 million euros, even though the players did not become part of the team and the deals were not finalized by official football bodies.

Now, the financial companies that advanced the funds are demanding their return, putting OL in a complicated and dangerous situation. One of the most prominent cases is that of Igor Jesus, for whom a deal worth over 40 million euros was signed, which was never formalized.

The situation has reopened the debate on the functioning of "multi-owner" club models, where internal transfers between clubs of the same ownership can be used for dubious financial operations.

Brazil-born Figueiredo thrilled by reception from Malaysian fans
https://www.nst.com.my/sports/football/ ... ysian-fans

"From day one, I've been warmly welcomed by everyone here. Playing in front of more than 60,000 fans at the stadium was an incredible experience. Bukit Jalil will always be in my memory. We've only been together for two weeks, but I believe we'll grow stronger from here. This is only the first step," added Figueiredo, who helped Malaysia end a 11-year winless run against Vietnam.

Figueiredo joins JDT after dream Malaysia debut
https://www.nst.com.my/sports/football/ ... ysia-debut

Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) have signed another Harimau Malaya heritage star with the arrival of Brazilian-born forward Joao Figueiredo ahead of the new season. Figueiredo joins JDT from Turkish Super League side Istanbul Basaksehir, where he netted seven goals and chipped in with two assists last season. He also made his mark in the Turkish Cup, scoring three goals in as many appearances.

"Figueiredo brings his commitment and determination to JDT," read the caption on the Southern Tigers' official Instagram post announcing the signing on Sunday.

Keista, kad niekad iki šiandien nepastebėjau kas vyko po to. O vyko tokie dalykai, plačiau iš BBC:

Malaysian players banned after using forged documents to play qualifier against Vietnam
https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asia/ma ... er-5372241
FIFA's Disciplinary Committee said the seven players - Garces, Gabriel Arrocha of Unionistas de Salamanca, Rodrigo Holgado of America de Cali and Imanol Machuca of Velez Sarsfield, as well as Joao Figueiredo, Jon Irazabal and Hector Hevel of Johor Darul Ta'zim - were sanctioned with a 12-month suspension from all football-related activities. FIFA also ordered the FAM to pay a fine of 350,000 Swiss francs (US$438,651) while the players have been fined 2,000 Swiss francs each. All seven players had played in Malaysia's 4-0 win over Vietnam in the third round of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers on Jun 10, after which FIFA received a complaint regarding the eligibility of several players.

FIFA said the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) had submitted eligibility enquiries to global football's governing body and used doctored documentation to be able to field the seven players, breaching article 22 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code that is concerned with forgery and falsification.
Four of seven banned Malaysian players return to pitch after CAS ruling
https://www.nst.com.my/sports/football/ ... cas-ruling
The CAS interim ruling, issued late last month, allows the group to play while their appeals are reviewed. Officials stressed that the decision is not a final verdict. The CAS hearing is scheduled for Feb 26.

Since the ruling, at least four players have made a combined nine appearances in Malaysia and Spain. In Malaysia, Hevel, Irazabal, and Figueiredo featured for Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) in the Asean Club Championship and the Super League. Figueiredo has scored once for JDT, while Garces has appeared in two La Liga matches for Deportivo Alaves. Hevel said his limited appearances were a step toward full fitness.

CAS stressed that the stay is procedural, intended to prevent "irreparable sporting harm," and does not confirm long-term eligibility. Clubs fielding the players risk match forfeitures and reinstated suspensions if the final ruling is upheld.

Malaysian FA lose CAS appeal over falsification of player eligibility papers, but players’ ban terms reduced
https://www.insideworldfootball.com/202 ... s-reduced/

Last September, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee suspended seven naturalised players for 12 months and fined FAM €375,520 after concluding that falsified paperwork had been used to claim Malaysian lineage. The players – Hector Hevel, Jon Irazabal, Gabriel Palmero, Facundo Garcés, Rodrigo Holgado, Imanol Machuca and João Figueiredo – were found to have no parent or grandparent born in Malaysia, a central requirement under FIFA’s eligibility regulations.

The CAS panel ruled “that the infraction of falsifying eligibility documents was established and that the 12-month ban from playing matches was a reasonable and proportionate sanction for the players, given their complicit responsibility in this fraud. However, in accordance with Article 22 FDC, the Panel decided that the ban should only apply to matches and not to all football-related activities.

The ban from playing matches started yesterday (5 March), with credit for the period from 25 September 2025 until 26 January 2026 included, where the ban was effectively served.

Čekijos futbolo istorijoje atskleistas rekordinis korupcijos skandalas – areštuoti dešimtys įtariamųjų, pradėtos 47 drausminės bylos
https://www.tv3.lt/naujiena/sportas/cek ... s-n1506012

A three-year probe has explored the prevalence of match-fixing in the top four divisions of the Czech League, as well as in youth competitions.

"The suspects are member clubs, officials, referees and players. Most players were also provisionally banned from competitive activity. All documents were published on the FACR official board in accordance with the FACR disciplinary code.

A spokesperson for UEFA said: “As per our long-standing practice, UEFA does not comment on investigations or the existence of potential investigations into alleged match-fixing.

Mongolian official and player given 10 and 5-year bans for match-fixing
https://www.insideworldfootball.com/202 ... ch-fixing/

The Asian Football Confederation has handed out bans to a female football official Ms. Munkhtsetseg Batkhuu and player Ms. Namuuna Narmandakh, both from Mongolia, for attempting to fix an 2025/26 AFC Women’s Champions League game

The investigations was conducted as part of the four-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) the AFC signed with the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), in 2024 to show. IBIA, through its Monitoring and Alert Platform, shares real-time data on suspicious betting activity with the AFC, enabling the AFC to investigate potential match manipulation.

The AFC said these sanctions reaffirm its zero-tolerance policy against any type of match manipulation and its continued commitment to protecting the integrity of Asian football.
