The Latvian and Estonian football federations have agreed to provide local clubs with the opportunity to participate in a large pre-season tournament "Livonian Winter League" before the next domestic championship season. A total of 24 teams will participate in the competition - 12 from each country.

The Livonia Cup [turnyras-t578#p149477] was previously played seven times - in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2018 and 2023. Now, for the first time in history, it will be organized as a comprehensive pre-season tournament, which is also intended to be an annual event.
