This week the MRV Arena started the planting of the winter grass.

"Bermuda grass, which is the type of grass used in the MRV Arena, is a kind of tropical climate. With lower incidence of sunlight and lower temperature during the autumn and winter months, there is a reduction in its growth and recovery rate, "says Tiago Rezende, agronomist at World Sports.

The seeds of the ryegrass will be planted on top of the already established lawn, in a process known as "overseeding". Specific works will be carried out so that the seeds have contact with the soil, maintaining moisture for germination and rooting, in addition to the consequent establishment of winter grass.
