Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) have signed another Harimau Malaya heritage star with the arrival of Brazilian-born forward Joao Figueiredo ahead of the new season. Figueiredo joins JDT from Turkish Super League side Istanbul Basaksehir, where he netted seven goals and chipped in with two assists last season. He also made his mark in the Turkish Cup, scoring three goals in as many appearances.

"Figueiredo brings his commitment and determination to JDT," read the caption on the Southern Tigers' official Instagram post announcing the signing on Sunday.
