Lithuania-based Whitebit, a European cryptocurrency exchange with Ukrainian roots, has agreed to a long-term partnership with the national soccer team of Ukraine. Under the deal, its logo will be featured during the team’s matches, the crypto news outlet Forklog reported, quoting the company.

Whitebit becomes the team’s official crypto partner until 2026.

This is not Whitebit’s first endeavor in the world of football. In December 2022, the exchange became official partner of Spain’s soccer giant Barcelona.

LaLiga topping Barcelona have signed their first sponsorship deal with a cryptocurrency firm, agreeing a three-year partnership with WhiteBIT.

The Ukranian crypto firm, founded in 2018, will be designated the official cryptocurrency exchange partner across FC Barcelona men’s and women’s teams, as well the club’s handball, basketball, roller hockey and futsal teams.

Remiantis žurnale „Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine“ paskelbta 25 su sportu susijusių smegenų sukrėtimo tyrimų apžvalga, moterys gali būti jautresnės smegenų sukrėtimui, be to, po šio tipo traumos moterims pasireiškia sunkesni ir ilgesni simptomai nei vyrams.

Tačiau sporto ir fizinio aktyvumo mokslo tyrimuose moterims vis dar atstovaujama per mažai <net ir šiame centre – didžiausiame tokio pobūdžio centre pasaulyje – iš maždaug 12 190 smegenų tik 3 proc. priklausė moterims>. Tai, kaip perspėja ekspertai, reiškia, kad jos dažnai negauna reikiamo gydymo ar priežiūros po galvos traumos.

„Įrodyta, kad moterys sportininkės dažniau patiria smegenų sukrėtimą, jų atsigavimo laikotarpiai būna ilgesni“, – kalbėjo A.McKee. „Neturime pakankamai informacijos apie tai, kas vyksta moterų smegenyse. Nežinome, ar moterys yra biologiškai jautresnės šioms traumoms“, – sakė ji ir pridūrė, kad kai kurie tyrimai rodo, jog tam įtakos gali turėti moterų kaklo dydis ir raumenynas.

Remiantis žurnale „JAMA Network Open“ paskelbtais tyrimais, kurių metu buvo ištirta daugiau nei 80 tūkst. paauglių sportininkų, atlikus JAV vidurinių mokyklų futbolininkių tyrimą, nustatyta, kad jos beveik du kartus dažniau patiria smegenų sukrėtimą nei jų bendraamžiai vaikinai. Tačiau mokslininkams nerimą kelia ne tik smegenų sukrėtimai.

„Problema yra subklinikiniai smūgiai – smegenų nesukrečiančios traumos, kurios nėra nenustatomos, kurių per vieną sezoną gali būti šimtai ar net tūkstančiai“, – aiškino ji.

K.Snedaker sakė, kad sportininkės dažnai nežino, kad patyrė galvos traumą. Ji pažymėjo, kad jei jos ir patirdavo galvos traumas, nebuvo tinkamo medicinos ar sporto personalo, kuris galėtų apie tai pranešti.

Tam was left red faced when he was part of the Hibs team that were dumped out of the Intertoto Cup by FK Vetra Vilnius.

As a Hibs player I went to Lithuania, Latvia, Greece and Bulgaria. The real eye-opener was going to Lithuania in 2004 to face Vetra Vilnius in a game that was also Tony Mowbray’s second European tie as manager.

Their stadium was like a junior ground, we lost 1-0 and that was us out of the Intertoto Cup at the first time of asking. Mowbray had just been appointed and we’d only had one week of pre-season before those two games. We were caught well undercooked.

We’d drawn the first leg 1-1 at Easter Road. The game was played out in torrential rain and we then went to Vilnius when they were already halfway through their season while we were half fit.

We fielded a strong side. Scott Brown played, as did Garry O’Connor, so to lose to them was a joke. But it was only early July and most of us had just got off the plane from our holidays. If it had been two months into our season, we’d have hammered them. But we’d only been in the door a week.

These excuses won’t apply for these games coming up. To be fair, Hibs have managed to take care of the minnows over the past couple of seasons, so that should bode well. It’s about fitness and professionalism.
