Polish champions Lech Poznań received the most money last season – more than PLN 36.8 million ($9.8 million). This was made up of the basic payment paid to all clubs of PLN 8.2 million ($2.2 million), performance-based bonuses of PLN 22.6 million ($6 million), a historical ranking bonus of PLN 4.4 million ($1.2 million), and about PLN 1.7 million ($450,000) received under the Youth 2.0 programme.
Last season Ekstraklasa allocated nearly PLN 27 million ($7.2 million) for youth development. This included PLN 18 million ($4.8 million) transferred to clubs before the start of the season for the operation of academies and about PLN 7.3 million ($1.9 million) paid as part of the Youth 2.0 programme. Additionally, Ekstraklasa co-financed the UEFA Double Pass programme, with about PLN 1.5 million ($400,000) last season.

Bulgarijos Plovdivo mieste anksti trečiadienį buvo nušautas 53-ejų Ilijanas Filipovas, Plovdivo futbolo klubo „Botev“ prezidentas ir didelės transporto įmonės savininkas, pranešė policija.
Auka buvo nušautas apie 1 val. nakties netoli savo namų. Pradėtas ikiteisminis tyrimas, o policija tiria nusikaltimo vietą.
Policija gavo pranešimą apie pašautą asmenį, sakė vietos policijos viršininkas Vasilis Kostadinovas. Į įvykio vietą atvykę pareigūnai patvirtino mirtį ir pradėjo tyrimą. Institucijos kol kas neatskleidžia galimo nužudymo motyvo, taip pat nepateikia jokios oficialios informacijos apie įtariamuosius.
